Description
J. Harper & Sons (Leominster) Ltd were contracted by Cheltenham Borough Homes to build 6 no. 3 bedroom properties across two sites.
The works included the demolition of existing garages and the relevant foul and storm drainage diversions to enable the properties to be built with the associated drainage infrastructure works. A public consultation meeting was held at pre-commencement stage to listen to any concerns the local residents had about the scheme.
The houses were of a timber frame construction with a brick and render external skin. This was a very involved project as it was one of the few new build properties that Cheltenham Borough Homes have undertaken with challenging logistics due to the size and location of the sites in highly populated areas.
Building on from previous similar redundant garage sites with the client we are closely working with on two similar sites at present with discussions ongoing with regard to future works.
