Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting the fantastic volunteers at Hereford Food Bank who demonstrated their commitment to the relief of poverty in Herefordshire and the surrounding areas through the provision of emergency food parcels.
We were overwhelmed by the number of people who have become reliant on their services due the significant pressures from the cost-of-living crisis.
As part of the Procure Partnerships Framework Collaborative Working Group Initiative, we joined forces with Speller Metcalfe to support Hereford’s Foodbank with a cash donation of £300 and a food donation of £200.
June Wynter, Hereford Food Bank Donations Manager said ‘Over the past two years we have seen an unprecedented demand for our services – last year we helped some 4750 people and provided them with nearly 100,000 meals, but in 2019 this had been only 2,800 people”
We are proud that we have been able to showcase our willingness to support local charities and have a positive impact on the communities we work amongst. We hope that our donations have a significant impact and can help many more people in need.
