Works are progressing well on site at Hornbeam Close on behalf of LiveWest 🏘️
Soon we will see the commencement of the Section 38 base and binder course, which will conclude our groundworks first visit of the scheme. We will proceed to erect the timber frame to 9 plots, along with the traditional construction of the apartments.
Below are just some examples of the ways we are making these homes accessible and disability-friendly:
👉 Two flats and the bungalow are designed as wheelchair user dwellings to meet the requirements of Building Regulations Part M4(3)
👉 The apartments have a larger floor area and are designed with flexible kitchens that can be adjusted to suit the needs of the resident
👉 The wheelchair-accessible flats are on the ground floor and have their own private patios and gardens with level access
👉 The bungalow is self-contained with its own private garden, enabling the resident a greater degree of independence as required. It has two bedrooms, allowing room for visitors or a carer to stay
👉 The remaining flats are designed to be accessible and adaptable to meet Part M4(2), with lift access to ensure all flats are accessible
👉 The flats are to provide supported living and have an office and sleep-over room for staff
