Following a successful year for the company, J. Harper & Sons (Leominster) Ltd and its employees participated in several charity events to fundraise for the two chosen charities for the year, MIND and the Pancreatic Cancer Department at Queen Elizabeth Children’s Hospital.
David Harding, Development Manager at Herefordshire Mind said “I would like to thank everyone at J. Harper & Sons for supporting us during the last year. The funds will be used to directly support some of the most vulnerable in our community”.
Charity events staff took part in throughout the year included the Inflatable Run, Marathons and Half Marathons, Dress Down Days, Easter Hamper, Cake Sales and the Christmas Raffle to name a few. Overall the company raised a grand total of £2,000 giving each chosen charity £1,000.
Mike Harvey, Group Commercial Director for J. Harper & Sons (Leominster) Ltd said “As a company we believe it’s really important to give back to the communities we work in and we hope the donations will provide some support to the charities the staff chose this year. We’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in 2018.”
