Description
J.Harper & Sons (Leominster) Limited was appointed as Principal Contractor for the internal alterations and extension works, toegther with associated external works to a private residence at Broad Street, Ludlow.
The contract was placed following a tender process under the Intermediate Form of Contract with Architas acting as Project Architect and Contract Administrator.
The scheme involved various elements of Contractor Design including full mechanical and electrical installation, structural repair works to the basement, gable and roof structure, extensive internal roof configuration, together with the construction of a leaded ‘Orangery’ to an extremely high specification.
The project was undertaken with close consultation with Local Conservation Officers and Town Planners due to its Grade II listed status with an extremely high level of internal finishes sympathetic to the existing building features. The project was deliverd within budget and ahead of programme.
