Description
J. Harper & Sons Ltd were awarded the contract for 42 Nr Dwellings at Bank Street, Cheadle.
The new development is located in the centre of a small market town of Cheadle, 10 miles north of Stoke on Trent.
To project consisted of two main schemes, the first being the refurbishment of a former three floor, two hundred year old timber / wood work shop into 12 apartments.
The second being the demolition of various small work shops and clearance of redundant allotments, to enable 28 houses and 2 bungalows to be built.
The fully refurbished workshops into apartments included all new drainage and utility services and parking facilities.
The houses and bungalows were a traditional build construction including parking facilities and a new estate road linking off the town’s main one way road network.
J.Harper & Sons worked with Strata Housing Services Ltd C/O The Wrekin Housing Trust on this scheme to provide affordable homes and apartments in the area.
Material items and Sub-Contract labour was procured within the local community, utilizing numerous local companies and organisations.
