Works have now commenced on 12 residential apartments and a timber frame extension at Great Western Court in Hereford.
The extension will be linked to the existing sheltered housing and further refurbishment works will be conducted including 2 one-bedroomed first floor extension apartments and 2 ground floor extensions. A community room situated on the ground floor will be expanded for additional residents to engage in social activities. The scheme also comprises of a new main entrance and new scooter store, additional parking and landscaping.
These homes were designed to meet the Homes England design criteria for ‘elderly persons’ dwellings and as they are located within the centre of town, this will enable those 60 and over to live more independently.
